The 2019 Audi TT roadster comes with a collapsible top and two seats; given the fact that the TT has been around a while, not much has changed except for a few modifications and a makeover or two in the midst of its lifetime. We agree that both the car styles are timeless vintage pieces and as such, we did want to know if Audi had anything new to offer us. So we decided to tackle this at the source, asked around and got enough information with images of Audi TT to develop this review. So let’s dive right in
2019 Audi TT Roadster Overview:
The 2019 Audi TT roadster is as good as it gets when it comes to the coupe; the style is still vintage and the car, with its flowing lines, is a classic but more on that later. When it came to a question of open-top motoring, more often than not Audi was the preferred choice and it seems that way as the car has a dedicated niche base it can target for its new model.
But as for the model, other than a few modifications, not much has changed. It still retains the Audi look and the engine has been tweaked with, to improve its performance. So let’s take a look, shall we?
Exterior, under the hood
The 2019 Audi TT roadster comes with minor aesthetic upgrades to the exterior along with LED highlights and cornering; apart from this, it also comes with standard 17-inch wheels that can go up all the way to 20 inches on other trims.
The new model comes with an optional S line package which lends it a sportier look, than ever before. If that was not enough, the roadster still retains its sharp looks and retains its aggressive façade to the hilt.
Audi certainly seems to show others how it should be done as it adds what it terms are minimalistic touches to an already popular car. The new model also comes with dual exhaust tips, silver gas tank flap, and sports a large single-frame grille at the front to complete the ensemble.
The other interesting thing about the new model is that it comes with three more additional colours so you are bound to get a better choice as far as colours are concerned. Overall, the so-called minor upgrade is indeed pleasing to the eye and should help the Audi TT roadster to attract more eyeballs at the auto show.
The 2019 Audi TT roadster comes with a fabric roof that can be adjusted with a button along with a popup wind deflector as well as neck warming seats. Apart from this, the model also comes with a 2+2 seating layout and the interior is spacious enough, but it would have been great if they had increased the wheelbase on all the trims.
It comes with a large touchscreen infotainment panel along with voice command which makes it even more convenient to operate this car. It contains several safety features, all of which are the latest and please note that some of the advanced features are optional and available only with other trims.
Engine, Release Date, and Price
The 2019 Audi TT roadster comes with 2.0-Liter TFSI Four-Cylinder which can perform at 181 BHP. It is expected that the new model will be available in the US markets by the first quarter of2019 and we’ll know more about the price as the launch date rolls around. But for what its worth, this car is a classic in every sense of the word.
