The 2019 Cadillac Escalade could well be the next generation SUV with a complete makeover; ever since Cadillac first introduced the SUV line with its first Escalade way back in the 1990S, it has certainly set the stage for more tweaks and advancements along the years.
And it certainly did not disappoint on that count given the fact that the first Escalade got a lot of negative reviews on the fact that it was not attractive enough. If the rumours are to be believed, the new model is one that is bound to stand out for all the right reasons. So let’s take a closer look at the model and see if it is indeed ‘as good as it gets’, shall we?
The 2019 Cadillac Escalade, from what we can make out from some of the 2019 Cadillac Escalade leaked pictures, has not changed much as far as the exterior goes and it seems that the interiors, except for a few tweaks, still remains the same. The new model is supposed to feature better shock absorbers along with a better suspension system which should provide you with better riding experience.
The one downside seems that there are no additions to the colour palette compared to last year’s model – so you are bound to see the same colours as you did the last year which does not make much sense. But on the positive side of things, it comes with enhanced features, on the safety and comfort front so that’s something to look forward to.
Exteriors, under the hood:
The 2019 Cadillac Escalade comes with chromium finish especially for the higher trims along with the same fascia on the front and rear as with the last model. The side profile has undergone a slight change for the better, with a more aerodynamic design and coupled with the fact that the new model also comes with high beam dimmer, LED headlights, cornering and enhanced tail lights makes for an interesting package.
Some of the advanced trims come with a moonroof, along with wind deflector and sliding sunshade. But generally, most of the other trims come with a sturdy roof along with anti-trapping feature along with a few modifications.
The new model comes with a slightly larger wheelbase at 116 inches and 18-inch aluminium wheels, completing the new look. Overall, the changes to the exterior have been minimal but somehow it still manages to improve on last year’s model.
The 2019 Cadillac Escalade comes with spacious interiors as expected along with magnetic ride control with two performance settings which should enable you to enjoy a smoother ride. Apart from this the new model also comes with 4 wheel drive along with a Brembo brake system. It also comes with power steering and heated front and rear seats for the higher trims along with collision warning system that comes in both modes – visual and audible.
The interior features plush leather seats for the higher trims and all the trims feature a 9-inch infotainment panel located front and center on the dash along with other instruments. The advanced safety features, rearview camera and single touch open and close with power glass options, makes this car all the more attractive.
