With Chevy redesigning its crossover SUV just last year, none of us expected any major changes for the current upcoming launch of 2019 Chevrolet Traverse. But it seems that the devil is in the details and that the new Traverse may well sport more than just a few cosmetic changes if the rumors are anything to go by. That got us digging through all the information that we could find on the new model, from interviews with engineers to vetting the rumors as well as analyzing the leaked images – the end result is this review. So, without much further ado, let’s get to it, shall we?
The 2019 Chevrolet Traverse, it seems may come with more than a few changes but given that the SUV market is the one that seems to be heating up these days for all the right reasons and that Chevy’s competitors are shortening the lifetime of each new model, it seems that Chevy has decided to up its game. Either way, it seems that we can look forward to the next generation of Traverse to roll out soon with a few changes that put it bumper to the rear end with the rest of the competition.
Exterior, under the hood:
The 2019 Chevrolet Traverse comes with an extended range of trim levels which remain its strength; but apart from that, the new model sports a tuned up grille, slightly slimmed down headlights but apart from this, we cannot spot many changes on the exterior. Guess most of the changes will be contained under the hood and on the interior of the SUV.
The new model looks as good as it did last year around when it got a major redesign; the current tweaks on the exterior also includes restyled LED headlights as well as 20-inch wheels for the advanced trims along with more chrome accents. All of these give the model a nice classy look and the aerodynamic design completes the look. The rear end gets the same treatment as the front end, with enhanced tail lights and a retuned front and rear bumper.
The side panels are the same and so is the wheelbase but that’s to be expected given that the model went in for a revamp last year. On the whole, the model looks as good as it is going to get and the car certainly manages to stand out when it comes to SUV crossovers.
The 2019 Chevrolet Traverse comes with more than a few changes on the interior; let’s start with the obvious one, it just got a lot roomier on the inside. It also comes with more space on the third row; as a three-row SUV, one of the most touted criticisms is that the third row was next to impossible to use given the lack of adequate space but luckily, this is taken care of with this new model.
It comes with more legroom in the back along with plush leather heated seats on the front, with multi-adjustable driver’s seat along with heated steering wheels. The dash is less cluttered with all the instruments clustered at one end and with a large touchscreen infotainment panel, right front, and center on the dash. The car also comes with advanced safety features as well as other add-ons that you can opt for with advanced trims
