If there is one car that seems determined to stay true to its roots it would have to be the 2019 Chevrolet Trax. Most of the cars would have been overhauled by now and gone under to be reborn in a new avatar but it seems that no one has told Chevrolet about this rule. As a result, there’s hardly anything new about this new edition, not that we can spot except for maybe a few new tweaks here and there. But given Chevy’s track record, it’s time that we took another look at the new car, right?
2019 Chevrolet Trax Overview:
When it comes to subcompact crossovers, the 2019 Chevrolet Trax does not exactly stand out from the rest of the pack. We do feel that Chevrolet could have re-designed and given it a complete makeover; but that being said, this car seems to feature a few changes and most of them are comfort centric.
As far as the new model is concerned, the front wheel drive seems much more preferable to an all wheel drive option so when purchasing the car, be sure to check out all the major features and weigh them before taking the call.
Exteriors, under the hood:
The 2019 Chevrolet Trax comes with a new tailgate badge and few interesting colours for the exterior but other than that, and a tweaked bumper, there’s hardly been any change when compared to the outgoing model.
It remains to be seen if Chevy’s planning any major redesign for the next year but until then, guess this is the one that we’ll have to get used to. The design is the same with LED headlights, side contours and tail lights.
Some of the higher trims also sport on fog lights along with its unique tall roof which means that you can always count on Trax for that extra headroom and larger interior space as well as the cargo area. It also seems to come with a larger wheelbase which should make it patently clear that this is one SUV that can handle most terrains with ease.
The whole appearance is as always sturdy; but while looking sturdy may be good, consumers want a little more than safety these days and would prefer their vehicles to sport aerodynamic designs as well. The Trax does indeed seem to be true to its roots in every sense of the word.
The 2019 Chevrolet Trax seems to have had some major rework done on the interior; it comes with plush leather seats for the premium trim models as well as heated mirrors, heated seats, power steering along with the ability to adjust seats.
It also features a better-designed instrument panel along with cruise control, roof rack rails, Satellite radio, under the seat storage container as well as the standard tech that includes a display panel, touch-screen infotainment along with a 7-inch infotainment touch screen that’s compatible with Apple play and Android auto.
Engine Specs, Release Date, and Price
The 2019 Chevrolet Trax comes with a 138-hp, 1.4-liter I-4 engine and it seems to be a bit underrated as far as its competition is concerned and can indeed pack in more power. And though the engine is bit slower but it is expected that this lineup will receive a major rehaul shortly.
But as far as the launch date is concerned it seems that the release date of Chevrolet Trax will be the end of 2018 and the price is expected to range around $21200 to $29000.
