SUV crossovers are all the rage now and the 2019 Dodge Durango is no exception to this; given the fact that this is the 3rd generation, we have a fair idea on what to expect and can gauge what Dodge will come up with next. Either way, we decided to collate all the information on this “muscular” SUV and were impressed by what we managed to track down so far. So without much further delay, let’s get right into it, shall we?
2019 Dodge Durango Overview
For starters, the 2019 Dodge Durango is expected to be a muscular SUV and if the rumours hold to be true it is expected to perform as one as well.
The Dodge Durango ever since it was first introduced in 2011, it got a decent makeover in 2014. For the new model and from the images that we collated it seems that the new model has retained the design with a few chances that lends it an aggressive tone with a sporty look.
So we can expect more clearance, along with slightly larger wheels and a powerful engine to boost it along. We expect the Updated Durango to feature additional features and even spot a brand new palette, but let’s see.
Exterior, under the hood:
With the 2019 Dodge Durango, it soon becomes obvious that the overall design pattern has not been changed much except for a few changes here and there.
The new model comes with the same design that has worked well in the past with flowing lines and contoured side panels, along with the crosshair grille up in the front and with restyled LED headlights and tail lights. It comes with a larger wheelbase and a slight increase in length which should help with creating more spacious interiors on the inside.
The Durango comes with a surfeit of chrome which, if we are being frank, is a tad too much. With slightly larger vents, a powerful engine, it soon becomes obvious that the new car is not just your run-of-the-mill family car and stands out from the rest of the lot, for all the right reasons.
It also comes with a rear-wheel drive with front wheel drive being optional, you can choose your trim as per your preference. But keep in mind that despite the extra clearance, the new Durango is not an off-roader as it sits lower than most other adventure models.
The 2019 Dodge Durango comes with all the frills that you can expect in one of the top-of-the-line SUVs; it comes with spacious interiors as well as enough leg and headroom. It is a 5-seater car and comes with heated seats, along with climate control, and plush upholstery.
The seats are adjustable so it makes it easier to get into and to clamber out of the car. It also features advanced safety features but these are offered as optional and not part of the standard fare offered in Durango Trims. The dash is nicely contoured with the instruments set in a cluster along with a 7-inch touchscreen U connect software.
