The legendary Fiat is expected to launch its new model later this year; the 2019 Fiat 500 is expected to be a hatchback with similar retro designs as its earlier variants. Fiat has to be the oldest car model in the world or at least, the one that’s still around. It certainly has seen more than its share of news with models being recalled just a few years before to the scandal that broke out. But all said and done, the new launch is eagerly anticipated by many for the simple reason everyone expects Fait to shake things up with a brand new design.
From the leaked images and videos of 2019 Fiat 500, what we can make out is the fact that the car will feature hybrid technology which should provide it with much better fuel efficiency as well as a sport on a new look but it should still retain some of the retro design features that made Fiat what it is today.
Design and style:
It is widely expected that the new 2019 Fiat will feature retro design features but it will also incorporate a new trendy design that sets it apart from all the other fiat models that had come before it. The new 2019 Fiat will resemble the old Fiat’s in some respects but stand apart in others. For example, the old model came with a 1.2-liter engine which will not be there in the 2019 Fiat.
The traditional 1-liter engine is going to get dropped to make way for an electric motor and 48V electrical system. It is widely expected that Fiat will launch other versions including a twin air petrol version and then the diesel model. It all comes down to the popularity of the brand but given the pre-booking that’s taking place, we need not have any worries in that department.
The 2019 Fiat will also include the traditional four headlight layout in the front but the actual headlights may be moved lower than in the earlier variants.
Think 60’s and you should have the interiors down pat; with a subtly revised dashboard, the 2019 Fiat 500 certainly seems to be the sort of car no one would forget in a hurry. The interiors are plush and should be customizable; you should be able to choose the fabrics and even the type of seats you prefer with your Fiat. The 2019 Fiat 500 also comes with trim pieces, as well as materials which should help the car look sharp.
It is expected that the new Fiat 500 would come with 5 doors which should make for a comfortable car to travel in. Apart from the doors, the car should also come with a sunroof, stainless embellished control panel, and the works. It should also come retrofitted with seven airbags, to provide the passengers with the essential safety features.
With so much being kept under wrap it is hard to figure out what’s going to end up as a rumor and what’s going to turn out to be real. As far as exteriors go, the few things that we can confirm are the newly designed grille redesigned DRLs, new bumper, led taillights and much more. On a more interesting note, the fiat badge which is usually featured on the middle of the grille is placed into one corner, sporting a brand new look.
Since it is going to be launched as a hybrid engine to help improve its fuel efficiency, you can expect the 2019 Fiat 500 to average between 90 and 105 HP. It is also expected that this model will come with a better drivetrain option with cleaner exhaust. The .9 liter engine should help boost effectiveness.
It is widely expected that the 2019 Fiat 500 would be launched sometime in September but then again, rumors regarding launch dates are always wrong, well, most of the time anyway.
Price and Release Date
It is expected that the 2019 Fiat 500 Hybrid version will go for EUR 19000 and that the plain version should go for EUR 11000. The Fiat, even the new one would still look tiny compared to some of the other cars out there but it should still bring its own class to the table and make it apparent to one and all that “beautiful things come in small packages”
