With 2019 Ford Escape expected any time soon, we do not really expect to see any massive changes seeing how the car is headed for a complete makeover come next year. Given that, we can and should expect at most, a few cosmetic changes and that’s that. It would have been nice if the automaker had updated some of the features for this car before it headed in for a complete re-haul. It is expected that the next year’s model will have larger dimensions, a new trim level and maybe, even a better drivetrain. But let’s bring the focus to this year and the upcoming launch; so let’s take a closer look at the new model, shall we?
2019 Ford Escape Overview:
With the imminent launch of 2019 Ford Escape, it becomes apparent that Ford is doing all it can to retain its competitive edge by keeping the design fresh and alive in our minds. It certainly seems to work in the past and there’s no reason it should not work now. We have collected all the info on the new model and have penned the same into a review but for what it’s worth, the new model certainly looks good.
Exterior, under the hood:
The 2019 Ford Escape comes with a few changes to the exterior and the interior of the car; it comes with just a few minor tweaks to the front fascia as well as grille; it still retains the same design as last year with more chrome accents, LED headlights, LED running lights along with fog lamps on the higher trims, just above the bumper.
The side panels look the same and the new model comes with 18-inch wheels which should provide you with more traction on road. Some of the colors have been discontinued and new ones added to the palette – Agate Black, Baltic Sea Green and Sedona Orange. Given the fact that the car is heading in for a complete makeover next year, these changes should be all that we can anticipate with the new model.
The new model will no longer come with LED tail lamps, but the car features enhanced suspension which was introduced last year which makes driving this car sweet. Better than that, the new model looks as good as ever, from the front grille, chrome accents to side panels, the acronymic design and fact that you get better mileage with the new model
The 2019 Ford Escape comes with the same interior except for a few changes such as smartphone integration with Android auto and Apple car play compatibility. The new model comes with leather covers for the higher trims, along with heated and cooled seat power steering along with advanced safety features, but these will not be available with the base trim. That’s a bit of a downer and similarly, it seems that Ford will not be offering any navigation for the new model either, you will have to opt for higher trims.
