2019 GMC Acadia Review – Interior, Exterior, Engine, Release Date, and Price

The 2019 GMC Acadia is all set to hit the roads soon; naturally, we wanted to take a closer look the moment the news about its release made the rounds so we prepped this review based on all the sourced info, leaked images and the usual rumors (after vetting the same). It seems that the new model might be slightly smaller than the 2016 model and from what we can see from the pictures, that rumor is spot on. But let’s face it, it was a tad big and the slimmed down version looks like its packing more than a few features. So let’s take a closer look, shall we?

Overview:

The 2019 GMC Acadia is a mid-level crossover SUV and is supposed to seat at least 7 people comfortably. Let’s just state right away that this is not exactly the sort of car that you would expect to stand out from the rest of the crowd but what it makes up for its inherent lack of wow factor, it more than makes up with its functionality and features. This is your typical family car and just the sort that you would want to take your family on a trip.

Exterior, under the hood:

The 2019 GMC Acadia seems to have undergone a minor revamp starting with the LED headlights; they are better styled and come with LED accents and cornering. The new model also sports headlamp, black accents along with black grille which completes the look and gives this car a slightly aggressive appearance. It also features roof rails, along with mirror caps, and comes with 17-inch metal alloy wheels.

If one thing should be said about this car is that it has no pretensions and most of the features you see on it were designed to make this car comfortable for the whole family. The good news is that the new model now packs in more than new features, it comes with 4 new exterior colors such as Dark Sky Metallic, Pepperdust Metallic, Red Quartz Metallic, and Smokey Quartz Metallic which means that you should have more choice with the new model that you had done earlier on. Other than that, it comes with the same design and the same tune-up at the rear end. One can hardly wait for the current model to get launched soon so that we can test drive the same.

Interior:

The 2019 GMC Acadia comes with a neat interior; It is certainly spacious enough and some of the higher trims come with plush leather seats, heated and cooled seats along with power steering wheel. It also comes with an all wheel drive but this SUV is not meant for off the road trips. For those kinds of trips, you would need cars with larger clearance than the one on this model; but that being said, the all-wheel drive on this car makes it perfect for all types of inclement weather. It also comes with adaptive cruising, advanced safety features such as emergency braking, lane control, along with the perfect built-in entertainment system with a large touchscreen infotainment panel.

Drivetrain, launch date, specs, prices:

The 2019 GMC Acadia comes with 2.5-liter four cylinders which are standard on most trims, but you may instead want to opt for the 3.6-liter V-6 engine. The car is expected to be launched by the end of this year and comes with a price that’s tagged at $32276. If you wanted a new family car, then this one would be it.
