The economical beast in the making is how some of us are tagging the 2019 Honda Fit which is all set to whiz down these roads in a matter of a few weeks. The subcompact underwent a minor upgrade with a few tweaks and now looks even better. One reviewer castigated this subcompact as a shrunken minivan but small or not, it certainly works wonders and the fact that it comes with a better gas mileage than most cars is just icing on the cake. Well, when we got the news, we naturally poured over all the info that we could collate on the new model and for what it’s worth, we were left impressed. So let’s take a closer look at the new model, shall we?
The 2019 Honda Fit is all set to make its appearance in a few weeks and we can hardly wait; according to some of these rumors, it seems that the new fit may well come equipped with auto beams and Honda sensing safety suite, which should definitely make this subcompact stand apart and tall from all the other subcompacts out there.
Exterior, under the hood:
The 2019 Honda Fit comes with a deceptive exterior that belies the surprisingly spacious (within reason) interior. The car has a modest looking exterior but still manages to pull it off with some class. It also comes with a sweeping shape from front bumper to the roof along with 15-inch wheels on the base models and 16-inch ones on the advanced trims which make the car look muscular to the point that you will find it hard to define this car as ‘petite’. The new model comes with the following trims: LX, Sport, EX, and EX-L.
This is the perfect budget car and one that should be pegged to less than $20000. It even comes with a sports trim which we are yet to check out. The new model comes with a soft suspension which should make the car perfect to travel on most roads and even take a few bumps on the way. It comes with automatic high beam headlights and even comes with a new exterior color. The chrome accents on the new model, under the rear window certainly makes it look a class apart and the view from the rear with the large tail lights is equally both modest and yet, pleasing to the eye.
The 2019 Honda Fit is a deceptive car in the sense the interior seems roomy; you could argue that it was just a trick but the fact is that even a six-footer should be able to fit into this car with some leg room to spare and that should clue you in. The seats have to be padded a little more but other than that, it still looks great. It also features large door bins, along with space under the fold-up center armrest. The new model also features a touchscreen navigation panel with all of Honda’s anti-collision tech along with the requisite safety features.
Engine Detail, launch date, Prices:
The 2019 Honda Fit comes loaded with the 1.5-liter inline-4 engine, which performs with 130 horsepower and 114 pound-feet of torque. This car is small enough to get you out of tight corners and can travel quite fast. It is the perfect budget model and is as perfect as the first car for new drivers. The new model is all set to be launched real soon and the price is set at $17085.
