With the 2019 Honda Pilot all set to release soon, we decided to collate all the info that we could find on this third generation crossover and have prepped this review. Given the fact that this model had undergone a complete change three years back, we do not anticipate any major changes for the current one except for a few cosmetic changes. Honda would want to keep the design fresh. We expect that the new model will feature a few changes to the overall body as well as the interior. So let’s take a closer look at the car, shall we?
The 2019 Honda Pilot may get a mid-life mini makeover session and while that may sound like a party theme, that seems to be the case with what’s happening. Honda pilot is heading for a mid-cycle change and if the rumors are to be believed, it seems that it will come with more than a few cosmetic tweaks and may include substantial ones as well. We can hardly wait until the new model gets here but from what we know, so far, the new model definitely stands out for all the right reasons
Exterior, under the hood:
The 2019 Honda Pilot comes with a bold new front and rear fascia and its old grille have been swapped out for a trapezoidal, mildly protruding upper snout along with a black trim that houses the signals. And if that was not enough, it seems that Honda has packed the fog lights into the faux air vents which make for a nice touch.
It also comes with a reshaped chin spoiler as well as well contoured side panels and a better design overall that makes it all the more aerodynamic. The new model comes with jewelled LED headlights which makes the model stand out for all the right reasons. It also comes with backup lights which can prove to be quite handy. The new model also comes with a chrome trim on all the doors making them more spectacular than before.
The new model also comes with larger tires which give it a muscular look and even though the wheelbase remains the same this time around, we expect some of the trims to feature slightly large metal alloy wheels, giving it a distinct appearance. Overall, the exterior of the new model looks much better than the previous one.
The 2019 Honda Pilot comes with a slightly revamped interior; it comes with leather seats, heated and cooled drivers seats, and a dash that looks as sleek and curvy as ever before. The new model comes with a brand new steering wheel that looks quite good along with a large high res screen acting as the display while incorporating all the readouts from the main instrument panels.
The good news is that the new model also comes with a volume knob, with 4G WiFi capability along with a cabin talk system which should come handy for this family car. It also features several advanced safety features, such as forward collision alert, forward emergency braking and much more.
