With so many rumours regarding the 2019 Hyundai Genesis doing the rounds, we had to spend a fair time separating the wheat from the chaff. What we can confirm though is that the leaked images make it apparent that this is one car that is truly sporty in every sense of the word and more. The styling is exquisite and for the sports sedan, just performance alone won’t be enough, it would need looks to go with it and the Genesis scores big on both.
Exterior, under the hood:
The 2019 Hyundai Genesis comes with a creased hood that bookends with the winged Genesis badge, which in itself is a classy touch. But the new model also comes with the aggressive appearance with the six-sided mesh grille, low front bumper, sharp nose and features like front fenders, gaping intakes, and strakes that makes it stand out for all the right reasons.
The roof slopes sharply to the rear end which gets the same treatment as the front end. The model also sports LED headlights with cornering and rear tail lights that have been re-styled accordingly. The interior comes with enough head and leg room making it easy to seat four people comfortably in it. The 2019 Hyundai Genesis comes with a choice, you can either opt for the rear wheel drive or the all-wheel drive as well as choose between base turbocharged 2.0-liter inline-four which cranks out 252 horsepower with 260 lb-ft of torque or choose the Sport model with the 2.0-liter and with it a 3-hp bump for a total of 255 horses.
Additionally, you can also go for the twin-turbocharged 3.3-liter V-6 and with it, get ready to tap 365 horsepower. Either way, you can expect Genesis to roll out in the next few weeks but do allow for a delay of one to two months but it should be here before the year-end. As for prices, the new model is slated to be pegged at $30000 for the rear wheel drive and move upwards to $50000, for the all-wheel-drive trim with V 6.
