Like most major auto players looking to target the zero-emission niche, Hyundai is no different as the 2019 Hyundai NEXO targets this specific niche. Like most battery electric cars, no one expects the new model to rev up faster than the traditional models but it may seem that the new model may be able to do just that. While most of the details have been kept strictly under wraps, a few leaked images of the new 2019 Hyundai NEXO were enough to tell us the whole story. So let’s take a closer look at the new model, shall we?
2019 Hyundai NEXO Overview:
The 2019 Hyundai NEXO is an eco-friendly car with zero emissions and it is expected to feature fuel cell technology to power up its latest model.
It is also one of the very few to feature this technology and while the car utilizes Hydrogen to power up its fuel cells, there’s one major downside to this. Granted, that the new car comes with zero emissions and that’s perfect but what may not be good news is that you cannot tank up on hydrogen except at a few select centres. That’s a big drawback but one that Hyundai has said it is addressing.
Exterior, under the hood:
The 2019 Hyundai NEXO is a compact crossover SUV that comes with two rows of seats that can seat up to five people. The model itself is slightly larger than expected which is a great thing; it comes with its own dedicated platform and has its own dedicated platform and its own unique styling.
Well, we can definitely agree with the last part, especially as we look over some of NEXO’s leaked images online. The new model is expected to come with larger than expected wheelbase, at 109.8 inches, and measures ten inches longer than a Tucson. The overall design looks neat, aerodynamic lines with a good side profile.
It looks like that the new model will feature an innovative take on Hyundai’s cascading grille feature which only serves to enhance the overall appearance of the car itself.
The new model is also expected to feature LED running headlights along with headlamp lights which will be repositioned closer to the grille on either side of it. The new model certainly looks quite attractive in the back as it does on all sides; it certainly stands out as far as the exterior goes and the futuristic look certainly makes a good impression.
The 2019 Hyundai NEXO does not disappoint when it comes to the question of interiors; the car features two rows of adult seats with some of the higher trims featuring level 4 autonomous drive technology which essentially means that you can let the car drive itself with no intervention on your part.
If that was interesting enough, then you should know that the new NEXO also comes equipped with Hyundai smart sense anti-collision tech, driver assists along with adaptive cruising, lane keep assist as well as automatic drive beams, driver warning alerts, and a remote parking assist feature. On the comfort zone, it comes equipped with the push-button transmission, the pair of 12.3-inch displays, touch screen infotainment panels and the works.
