With 2019 Infiniti Q60 overdue for its launch, we decided that it was time for a review. So we collected all the information that we could find on this luxury crossover SUV and managed to prep this review thanks to all the leaked images, interviews and of course, the rumour mill which we had to vet. When it comes to the SUV niche, there’s always room for more and when a certain brand comes with a luxury makeover, we definitely would want to see more of it. So let’s take a closer look at the car, shall we?
Overview 2019 Infiniti Q60:
The 2019 Infiniti Q60 is due to be launched anytime now; the car comes with more than a few styling and design changes and in the process has undergone a transformation for the better. We did take a close look at those images and what we saw managed to blow us away. If rumours are spot on, it seems that this model comes with the continuously variable automatic transmission (CVT) as well as a raft of advanced safety features that are designed to make the car attractive to consumers. One thing is for sure, the new model is an improvement on the outgoing one, in every sense of the word.
Exterior under the hood:
The 2019 Infiniti Q60 comes with an elegant shape, wrapped around three rows of seats and for a slightly large SUV, it still manages to look petite and svelte, terms that you would not generally use with an SUV. To start with, the new model comes with a slightly modified front fascia along with a puckered grille that’s bookended by slimmer and stylish LED headlights.
These manage to perfectly frame the floating badge that all Infinitis come with. The hood and the roof is as smooth as ever, tapering off gently to the rear. The car also comes with long chrome strips that end with crescent-shaped kickbacks which are iconic to this lineup.
The new line up consists of the same trims as before and of course, the Hybrid version has been discontinued for more than two years now. The rear gets the same treatment as the front and comes with re-styled tail lights which complete the exterior changes. The car comes with a slightly larger wheelbase which means more space on the interior with 19-inch wheels.
The 2019 Infiniti Q60 comes with a revamped interior that consists of leather and wood, each complementing the other quite well. The new model comes with plush leather upholstery as well as power steering, multi-adjustable driver’s seat along with multi-climate control feature. It also sports on a nice dash, the same as last year’s model but with a few changes to the instrument cluster which is now located within easy reach.
It also comes with a large touchscreen infotainment system, as well as premium audio along with compatibility with android audio and apple car play. The other changes are that the new model also features some advanced safety systems this time around with emergency automatic braking, along with rebooted driver assist features.
Engine Detail, launch date, Prices:
The 2019 Infiniti Q60 comes with front-wheel drive but for an extra $1800, you can get all-wheel drive with your trim. It also comes with the 3.5-liter V-6 engine that makes 295 horsepower mated to a continuously variable automatic transmission (CVT). The new model is expected to hit the roads around fall this year. It is expected that the pricing for the base trim is expected to be pegged at $45000.
