It seems that we can all get ready for the 2019 Jeep Compass which is all set to be launched real soon. Ever since compass got a complete makeover in 2017, with no changes for last year, we were expecting a few changes with this year’s launch and we are pleased to announce that the new model will include a few changes to both the exterior and interior as well. Ever since we got the news, we have been searching for any information that we could find on the new model so that we could prep this review. So let’s take a closer look at Jeep’s crossover and see what’s new, shall we?
The 2019 Jeep Compass is all set to roll out soon and we could not be more pleased; the compact compass certainly looks all the better with a better look. The new model comes with five trim levels of the Compass: the base Sport, Latitude, Altitude, the rugged Trailhawk version and the loaded Limited trim, with each trim level being physically distinct from the other in one aspect or the other. All the trims do not come with all wheel drive so you would be required to upgrade for the same.
Exterior, under the hood:
The 2019 Jeep Compass comes with the same design as last year and it would be too much to expect any radical changes for this year given that this model underwent a complete change just in 2017. But it does come with a few changes; the new model comes with a tweaked front fascia, LED headlights that are re-styled and look better for it. It also comes with projector headlamps as well as LED daytime running lights.
It also comes with enhanced seven-slat grille with the automaker’s logo, right in the middle as well as a black matte finish for the front and rear bumpers. The sharper angles are rounded off, with the same side panels as before. It comes with body cladding all over including over the wheel arches as well. The wheelbase is slightly larger and despite the boxed look, the vehicle is slightly more aerodynamic in design, this time around. The advanced trims should come with a black roofline which should make this model stand out for all the right reasons. Apart from all this, the new model also comes with an integrated spoiler as well as new metal alloy wheels.
With a slightly larger wheelbase, the interior of the 2019 Jeep Compass is slightly larger this time around. The new model comes with plush leather seats in the higher trims, with a neat dashboard with instrument clustered around the middle and within easy reach. The compass certainly believes in giving value for money and comes with AWD, enhanced suspension along with power steering;
It does make for a sweet ride, that’s for sure. It also comes with the optional Uconnect infotainment system, premium audio speakers along with advanced safety features. The storage space in the center needs some re-work for the current one is not that good. Other than that, the model looks good and performs very well.
Engine Detail, launch date, Price:
The 2019 Jeep Compass comes with FWD as well as AWD; it also comes with a 2.4-liter four-cylinder engine that makes 180 horsepower and 175 pound-feet of torque. The car’s just about ok in terms of power but we hope that the next generation will have a new drivetrain. It is set to be launched by end August or September. The pricing for the new model is expected to range from $21,295 – $29,295
