The 2019 Lincoln MKS is all set to roll out soon and we do hope that there would be more than a few styling changes this time around. With the MKS all set to make a splash in a matter of few weeks, we decided to go ahead and collect all and any information that we could on the car, its make, and what we can expect this time around and prepped the review. So let’s go ahead and take a closer look at Sonic and see how it stacks up against the others.
2019 Lincoln MKS, an overview:
The 2019 Lincoln MKS, still retains the same design as the last time around and we can confirm the same, thanks to the leaked images. But seeing how it got by 2017, it would not be fair on our part to expect anything much this time around. As it stands, the overall design for the luxury sedan seems okay from a visual perspective.
It is the perfect car for those who are budget conscious and yet need a car that ranks high on both functionality, as well as aesthetics and to that end, this car should fit in with your requirements, perfectly.
2019 Lincoln MKS, under the hood:
The 2019 Lincoln MKS comes with the same trims as earlier, as well as sedan and hatchback body styles. It also comes with a new, brand exterior color which is indeed an interesting shade. But as mentioned earlier, the car comes with few styling changes this time around and comes with the same front fascia as well as four doors, along with a hatchback at the back.
It also comes with the two-part Chevy grille which has been toned down, since this car is a subcompact, it makes little sense to park a humongous grille right at the front. But the grille still manages to stand out, for the right reasons and it also comes with LED headlights, with cornering as well as side panels that curve elegantly along the body lines of the car.
The rear end comes with a nice finish and it also sports LED tail lights as well. On the whole, the car looks much better than the sedan version and that’s saying something.
2019 Lincoln MKS, interior:
The 2019 Lincoln MKS interior is spacious enough for a sedan and there seems to be enough leg room in the front and the back seats as well. The dashboard is elegant and surprisingly is uncluttered with all the instruments being grouped as a cluster and placed within easy reach.
It also comes with a large touch screen panel, for easy access with intuitive controls along with Android Auto and Apple Car Play. The car also comes with more than a few safety features such as collision warnings, blind-spot monitors, and parking assists on the LT and Premier trims. The subcompact is indeed a well-performing car and you should be able to get the most out of it.
Engine, Release date, Price:
The 2019 Lincoln MKS comes with 8-liter naturally-aspirated four-cylinder, which makes just 138 horsepower and 125 pound-feet of torque shuttled to the front wheels through either a 5-speed manual or 6-speed automatic transmission. It comes with 3.7-liter V6 that produces 300 horsepower, which should make the car really fast.
Just keep in mind that you are going for the sedan and even though it is good, if you need more space on the interior, you may want to go for something larger such as an SUV crossover or a truck. The sedan is all set to get launched soon and the starting price is pegged at $36960
