It seems that the launch of the 2019 Mercedes Benz C300 may well take place in the next few weeks and that certainly got us excited for all the right reasons. For starters, it is rumored that this smaller cousin of the E-class Mercedes Benz may well feature similar semi-autonomous driving features that we saw in the larger variants of this luxury brand. We decided to collate all the information we could find on this luxury brand and prep this review. And from what we have seen so far, it seems that we were right to be excited; so without wasting any further time, let’s take a closer look at this car, shall we?
It seems that the 2019 Mercedes Benz C300 did undergo some major changes to its design and got more tech packed up on the inside and under the hood than you can shake a stick at. But the overall design seems to be eerily familiar with the last one but as the automaker explained it, the last design was quite popular so they decided to retain it. Well, the leaked images certainly prove that to be true; and furthermore, the rumors as regards the autonomous driving features seem to be spot on as well.
Exterior, under the hood:
The 2019 Mercedes Benz C300 comes with a restyled front fascia along with a tweaked grille with chrome accents, a restyled front bumper and LED headlights and taillights that automatically brighten during the night. But other than this the design remains more or less intact; with the same curves as before and the gently tapering roof and the rear end, makes for a classy look.
It should be pointed out this time around; the new model comes with over 20 wheel designs to choose from so to say that you would be spoilt for choice would be stating the obvious. It also comes with an enhanced suspension that makes the ride as smooth as possible and with noise dampeners coming into play, the ride would be an extremely quiet one to boot.
The overall design is as aerodynamic as before and certainly, makes this car stand out for all the right reasons. It is hoped that we may see more of a redesign for the exterior over the course of the next three to four years but for the moment, the old design works just as perfectly as it did before, with nary a flaw.
The 2019 Mercedes Benz C300 comes with a revamped interior with more stylish changes; from heated/cooled leather seats to power steering, power windows, to a well-designed dashboard, the interior does look good. You can either opt for the old instrument cluster or go in for the digital format which comes in the form of a 12.3-inch panel.
Either way, it also comes with adaptive cruising, as well as a touchscreen infotainment system that’s compatible with android auto and Apple car play. The new model comes with a raft of safety features including anti-theft measures and more importantly, it also comes with semi-autonomous driving features where the car utilizes the built-in GPS system to navigate, and control the car when driving.
Engine Detail, launch date, and Price:
The 2019 Mercedes Benz C300 comes with a 2.0 turbo-four engine which makes 14 more horsepower than the old engine, for 255 hp, while torque stays steady at 273 lb-ft. The new model is expected to be launched any time now with the pricing expected to range from $40000 for the base trim and upwards to over $80000 for the top trims.
