Well, it seems that 2019 Nissan Rogue is certainly starting out with a smaller size, at least as a mini-rogue on wheels, though we are not sure about the range of the redesign or whether it would only translate to a few minor tweaks. Either way, the moment the news came out, we decided to double our efforts to get any information that we could on the new model and the changes that it is due to come with. And after analyzing the leaked images, interviews and even vetting the rumours, we managed to source enough information to prep this review. So, let’s take a closer look at it, shall we?
Overview 2019 Nissan Rouge:
The 2019 Nissan Rogue is all set for a revamp and from what we have seen so far, it still retains its traditional shape and design from last year with more than a few tweaks and changes.
It is expected that the compact SUV will remain loyal to its niche but we all assumed that the new model will at least be faster than its big brother but nope. However, it still manages to beat the competition hands down and that’s something. But we do hope that Nissan will feature more changes to the exterior as well as to the drive train, with the next generation at least.
Exterior, under the hood:
The 2019 Nissan Rogue does a rerun of the same trims and comes in S, SV and SL along with all-wheel drive but looks a lot smaller when compared to previous variants of Nissan Rogue – let’s call them Big Rogue and the new one as Mini Rogue, to remove the confusion.
It comes with the same grille as before, but with chrome accents that make the car stand out from the rest. It comes with bolder front and rear wings which lend it a slightly aggressive tone; it also comes with 17-inch aluminium wheels along with heated mirrors, integrated LED turn signals which should prove handy when driving in cold weather. It also comes with HID headlights as well as fog lamps for some of the trims.
The side panels are the same and since the overall design of Nissan Rouge is the same, expect the same roof line with similar changes as on the front, with the rear end. The new model also features chrome side moulding. It also comes with an enhanced suspension that makes it perfect for those road trips. It should be pointed out that the new model may also feature more changes under the hood and the interior than it does on the exterior which is not exactly a bad thing.
It just means that the automaker is pleased with the overall styling and reception that they are retaining the same design from last year. And for what it’s worth, the new look with the old design just works fine.
The 2019 Nissan Rogue comes with a slightly revamped interior; it comes with plush leather seats as well as heated/cooled drivers’ seat as well as leather-wrapped steering wheels, climate control and a neatly contoured dash with chrome exterior and interior door handles as well as roof rails.
It also comes with neatly arranged instrument cluster; the new model also comes with enhanced tech including GPS navigation and a host of other features including a large touchscreen infotainment panel that you can readily access with both android auto and apple car play compatibility.
It also comes with advanced safety features as well as adaptive cruising, Automatic Emergency Braking with Pedestrian Detection, Blind Spot Warning, adaptive cruising and much more.
Engine, Release Date, and Price
The 2019 Nissan Rogue comes with an all-wheel drive along with, 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine that produces 170 hp and 175 lb-ft of torque, which incidentally happens to be paired with an Xtronic CVT transmission.
