The fact that last year’s model was tagged as comfortable did not stop some from calling it stale as well which is why the company went in for a new look and a new model. Essentially the 2019 Subaru Forester is still a crossover SUV with more than a few changes and it seems that the automaker was listening to the various complaints and had acted on the same. We managed to collate most of the information for our review and here it is, so let’s get right to it, shall we?
2019 Subaru Forester Overview:
The 2019 Subaru Forester is expected to be larger and roomier; it is expected that the safety features will get a boost at least on the touring trims; it comes with an all-wheel drive and even though it may seem like last year’s model it is anything but that. From the contours of the car to the rest, it soon becomes obvious that this SUV had indeed undergone some redesign. The car was redesigned using the Subaru global platform and the results stand out for themselves.
It is expected that the new model will feature several enhancements and improvements, so let’s take a closer look at the lot.
Exteriors, under the hood:
The 2019 Subaru Forester comes with a continually variable transmission (CVT) which is an improvement for this five-seater car and it also comes with a tailgate that is easier to handle and is extremely fast so loading items into the new model should be a breeze.
While the car sports a similar appearance to some of last year’s models it nevertheless has managed to boost the design so that it no longer appears too bulky. It has various trims and some of the higher trims come with 18-inch alloy wheels while the standard gets 17inch alloy wheels.
The higher trims also get chrome accents along with a reworked grille, completing the new look. Some of the trims also come with roof rails along with integrated tie downs a feature that should have been made complementary on all the trims. The new model also comes with automatic reverse side tilt mirrors or at least the Touring trim does.
And of course, the new model comes with LED headlights along with cornering and fog lights just above the bumper. Overall, the whole new look is just perfect and somehow Subaru manages to make it work
The 2019 Subaru Forester comes with a rebooted interior with some brand new features as well as old ones; the new model comes with automatic start and stop, along with plush leather seats and a spacious interior with more for the cargo area. Some of the premia trims 2019 Subaru Forester comes with a classic moonroof which makes driving this car an interesting experience.
It also comes with heated seats in the front, climate control, leather wrapped steering wheel along with a rearview camera, a 6.5-inch touchscreen infotainment panel for the standard model and 8-inch panel for the premium trims. Incidentally, it also comes with advanced safety features which should prove to be more than handy.
