Well, it seems at last that Ford has made up its mind to reboot its iconic off-roader; it did introduce the concept way back in 2004 but ever since then, none of us has heard much of a squeak on it from anyone. Given the fact that old vintage Broncos go in for as much as $50000, we can see that Ford was mulling on this for a while but now, it is official. We can look forward to a rebooted 2020 Ford Bronco, which according to Ford president Joe Hinrichs, will stay true to its roots.
2020 Ford Bronco Overview:
The 2020 Ford Bronco is expected to be a modern take on the iconic roadster and the fact that the vintage bronco was a timeless piece makes it clear that the bar is set high. The new updated version of that vintage timeless piece is expected to go into production shortly and we can expect it around end 2019.
The older model was a tad uncomfortable but we fully expect the new one to be much better as far as comfort and luxury go. And since this model is mainly meant for off the road trips, we do not expect multiple trims with the current model except for one. So we have been busy collating all the info we could lay our hands on regarding the new bronco from leaked images to rumours and prepped this review. So let’s take a closer look, shall we?
Exterior, under the hood:
The 2020 Ford Bronco will come with the body on frame construction and even though the vintage model was a two-door model, we fully expect the new one to be a four-door model. Given the fact that Ford already has a ranger pick-up truck we expect the new Bronco to borrow more than a few elements from the same.
But we also can see that the new Bronco will also feature a larger wheelbase which only makes sense since the vehicle is primarily meant to be an off-roader.
So expect more clearance with the new model as well as the same iconic front but with more than a few chances to Fascia, headlights and grille. The new model of 2020 Ford Bronco will of course sport on LED headlights and taillights along with a solid front axle as well. We also think that the new model would probably come with Fox shock suspension which should make riding in this vehicle an experience to treasure.
The 2020 Ford Bronco will definitely feature the very latest in comfort and luxury; you can expect premium leather seats for the higher trims or it could even be a standard feature on all the trims with heated seats and adjustable ones at that.
The new model should also come with enhanced safety features as well as rearview camera and driver assist features. It should also come loaded with Android auto and Apple car play along with a touchscreen infotainment panel and much more.
Engine, Price and Release Date
The 2020 Ford Bronco comes loaded with EcoBoost 2.7-liter V-6 which provides 325 HP and 400 lb-ft of torque. We can also expect a hybrid powertrain with the new model or a little later.
The new model is expected to be launched around mid or end 2019 and its current pricing is expected to range between $30000 and $50000 but can go even higher depending on the demand for Broncos. Guess we’ll just to wait until the launch date finally rolls around, and until they do read and enjoy the review and let us know what you think.
